New year, new channel goals! 🥳
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I’m so happy to be making videos for you all, and I hope you’ve been doing well. Although we’ve yet to celebrate a full year together, I still wanted to share some my channel goals for 2021. Here’s to hoping I can accomplish most or all of these by the end of the year!
If you’ve been with me all of 2020, thank you for your continued support. And if you’re new, hi, and welcome to the channel! 👋

I commend your honesty. I especially can relate to your challenge which is you like many things (though three isn’t too many in my opinion but for the internet it seems to be too much). I just ranted about the internet being too obsessed with having a niche on their accounts (which I scheduled to post this coming Sunday). You say yours is anime, kpop, and manga. Mine is anime, books, and movies. And still I don’t want to stop there, you know? there’s travel and photography and random thoughts and fashion. But I saw a Forbes interview with American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and her advice helped me a lot. Paraphrased: Be true to yourself; Listen to people you respect and look up to but in the end it has to come from you; Don’t be too concerned about what the competition might be doing; It has to be true vision. Had fun watching your video!

That’s some truly wonderful advice right there. Especially because of internet culture, I often feel like I’ll never “make it” on the web since my interests divide my audience so much. But, at the very least, if we can post content that is true to what we want, we can be satisfied knowing that we didn’t “hide” one of our interests from the world. Who knows, maybe having my foot in these three doors will allow an even more diverse audience to find my videos. I hope that much will hold true.
Thanks so much for sharing the advice, Laran, as well as for talking a bit about your own story. I hope we both find success in sharing the love for our hobbies with the world! 🙂
